Matthew McConaughey says he fears the youth-led "March for our Lives" movement could be hijacked by those hoping to eliminate all guns in the United States.
Last month, he supported activists by speaking at the March for our Lives rally in his hometown of Austin, Texas.
McConaughey is in Las Vegas for the CinemaCon theater owner's convention promoting his upcoming movie, "White Boy Rick".
He described gun violence as "an epidemic in our country".
McConaughey told reporters there are responsible gun owners, and hopes there can be common ground between anti-gun activists and the National Rifle Association.
